The Spring/Summer 2023 shows of Copenhagen Fashion Week wrapped up last Friday, August 12, after going viral on TikTok a number of times. Just like the short videos, it seems as though the week flew by way too quickly and we’re not quite ready to say goodbye just yet.
Show after show, we saw countless looks but not just on the runway. Copenhagen Fashion Week’s guests showed us what the city is really all about with their street style. So, to continue basking in the vibrant colors, bold prints, and fun textures of Copenhagen Fashion Week, we decided to revisit some of the most noteworthy looks from the streets of the city.
While Copenhagen has its own unique charm, we couldn’t help but notice how trendy these guests were. They embraced eye-catching colors, especially Barbiecore pink, bright green, and baby blue. Some even sported these trendy hues in their matching outfits, and extra points for sustainability to those who swapped pieces in a set with each other. Others chose to go solo with statement pieces, particularly western-inspired accessories like cowboy hats or boots. But the hottest accessory seemed to be the humble bicycle.
Copenhagen Fashion Week attendees weren’t afraid to sport some of the more controversial trends too. In fact, they seemed to have socks with heels (and even sandals) down to a science as they channeled Bella Hadid. Reprising Y2K fashion, the guests took this trend to the next level not just with bright shades and chunky shoes but also with layers. Yes, they indeed tackled the highly-debated skirt-over-pants trend and we’re not mad about it.
In fact, it seems we could all learn a thing or two from Copenhagen Fashion Week. Whether you recreate them or just obsess over them like us, here are some outfits that are giving us major style inspiration. Scroll through to see the street style of Copenhagen Fashion Week.
